This small bushy tree reaches 15 feet high and 12 feet wide in 15 years and is, like all Magnolias, pollution tolerant and easy to transplant from containers. Prefers a somewhat acidic, moisture-retentive soil enriched with organics. Plant in a location sheltered from wind and relatively free of roots from other trees and shrubs. Tolerates full sun in the north. In the south it performs best in filtered shade. Zones 5-9. |
