Description

Nearly Pure Black Blooms Up to 6 Inches Long. Dwarf plants with full-size blooms.  Expect it to set buds from late spring through late summer right up to frost in warmer climates. And these blooms measure up to 6" inches across with the classic funnel shape and very richly colored markings. Best in partial to half shade, ideal for cutting, container growth, and garden beauty. Its deep green foliage, speckled with white, makes splendid filler for indoor arrangements, and keeps the plant attractive even out of bloom. Plant reaches 16 to 24 inches high and 6 to 9 inches wide. North of zone 9, dig up the bulb in fall and stored indoors for replanting next spring. When the flowering diminishes a little (after several years), dig up the bulb in early fall and divide it into new plants.
