Description

Native to the Sonoran deserts of southeast California, Arizona, and parts of Mexico. As the largest cacti in the southwest Saguaro's are known as the icon of the cactus family. These giants  lives up to 300 years. and may weigh over 10,000 lbs.

Saguaros are approximately 75 years old and more than 12 feet tall before they produce their first arm.  A Saguaro with 5 arms or more are thought to be about 200 years old.

Creamy-white, 3-inch-wide flowers with yellow centers bloom from May and June.
