Description

 Bred in the icy regions of eastern Europe, it's hardy through zone 3 in the north. Early flowering, from a young age* compact growth habit* very heavy bud set These large blooms arise profusely on plants just 6 to 7 1/2 feet long, reappearing all summer long. Brilliant neon-pink to carmine petals with a darker red stripe running down the center. Descended from C. 'Pohjanael' x C. 'Niobe,' they are among the most richly colored blooms in the Clematis family

Compact enough for containers, it grows vigorously in sun to light shade. Its color complements the blues and purples of the Clematis garden,Zones 3-9."
