Description

Flowers -- large, blue, and elegantly crinkled these blooms are 4 to 5 inches wide and pure blue, with faint striping down the center of each petal and nicely crimped edges. They begin in early summer and rebloom continuously all season, lasting into autumn in most climates.

Reaching  7 feet high and 5 feet wide, a good size for mailboxes, lampposts, trellises, and threading through Roses and other open-habit shrubs. The superb breeding of this plant ensures that it will be extra vigorous -- it has C. viticella in its parentage, an exceptionally robust species that keeps Wisley? cold-hardy and resilient!

Like most Clematis, Wisley? grows best when its roots are cool and its tops warm. When you plant it, mulch heavily around the base of the plant, and try to keep the soil moisture fairly uniform. Give it something to climb on.
