Hydrangea 'Little Lamb'
Click on my picture to purchase me for your garden Categories: Shrub Plant Patent #15,395. | DescriptionThe blooms are the star of this dense, well-branched shrub. Coming to a point from a wide, petal-packed base, they offer gleaming white flowers over a long mid- to late-summer season. The petals are held somewhat loosely, so in the breeze they really do nod and flutter like capering little lambs. Stunning for fresh and dried bouquets, they may also be left on the shrub, where they dry attractively and remain throughout autumn and into winter. Unlike the Pee Gee Hydrangea, Little Lamb is quite compact, better for the home garden -- about 6 to 8 feet high and 4 to 6 feet wide. You can grow it as a multi-stemmed shrub or prune it into a small tree. Very compact and thickly-branched, it covers itself with flowers over a long season, and looks terrific even when not in bloom. Widely adapted and very easy to grow, this shrub favors full sun in the north, some afternoon shade farther south. |
